NFHS Mission:

The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) serves its members by providing leadership for the administration of education-based high school athletics and activities through the writing of playing rules that emphasize health and safety, educational programs that develop leaders, and administrative support to increase opportunities and promote sportsmanship.

The NFHS is the national leader and advocate for high school athletics, and an authentic, trusted source of influence to those whom they serve.

 

The NFHS is uniquely qualified to help the Naismith Foundation reach the NFHS high school space across the country with one scalable partnership.

 

  • Serves:
    • 50 member state associations, plus the District of Columbia
    • 19,500 high schools
    • 1.5M high school coaches/athletic directors/administrators

  • Provides online education for high school coaches, officials, students, parents, speech and music leaders through the NFHS Learning Center

The NFHS Learning Center at NFHSLearn.com delivers curriculum that serves 2 million high school coaches, officials and administrators in all sports each year. 

 

Proposed Participation:

  • One (1) :15 or :30 pre-roll video advertisement preceding 50,000 free, and required courses viewed annually by basketball coaches seeking national certification 

     

     

     

    Sport Specific Direct Mail 

    The NFHS maintains a mailing list of high school influencers, including athletics directors and head, assistant basketball coaches.  

     

    Proposed Participation:

    • One (1) direct mail piece sent to athletics directors and head basketball coaches in the NFHS mailing list = 164,000+
    • All associated costs of this mailing to be the incremental responsibility of partner

     

    High School Today

    The NFHS’ signature publication is High School Today. 

     

    Publication Schedule:

    • Eight (8) monthly publications per school year, September-May 
      • One (1) monthly combo issue serves December/January

     

    Monthly Circulation:

    • Print Magazine Version: 75,000+ 
    • eBook Version: 1.4M+

     

    Readership:

    • Athletic Directors, Coaches, Officials, Parents, Principals, Superintendents, School Board Presidents, NFHS Member State Associations, and Media

     

    Proposed Participation:

    • One (1) full-page color ad in two (2) annual issues of High School Today prior to your December event, provided to Partner in both print and e-book versions

    This proposed NFHS partnership will enable the Naismith Foundation to activate against the following NFHS assets:  

     

     

    • Social Media: Three (3) posts on all 3 NFHS social platforms promoting the December event = Over 58,000 followers
    • One (1) :15 or :30 pre-roll video advertisement preceding free, required courses viewed annually by basketball coaches seeking national certification for three months = Sept., Oct., November.  Reach 50,000 basketball coaches
    • One (1) direct mail piece sent annually to athletics directors and head basketball coaches in the NFHS mailing list = 164,000+ basketball coaches and AD's.  Reach America's "HS Basketball Decision Makers"
    • One (1) full-page color ad in two (2) Fall issues of High School Today, both print and e-book versions targeting coaches and AD's = Reach 1.4M digitally and 78,000 with the print version. 

       

    Total reach = Over 1.75 million high school influencers at NFHS member high schools with one buy and one contact!
